Scientific Recycling
Incorporated is a Wisconsin corporation formed in 1988 to accept
discarded household appliances, commercial units, and obsolete computers.
With our goal being disassembly in an environmentally beneficial
manner, disassembled components are returned to the recycling market.
Specifically,
SRI has put into operation a de-manufacturing system for post consumer
white goods and E-waste, which to the greatest extent possible minimizes
the release of harmful materials into the environment. Specifically,
chlorofluorocarbons (CRC's), polychlorinated-biphenyls (PCB's),
and the extracts from these materials are recycled or disposed of
in an environmentally safe fashion. SRI is a leader in the recycling
and de-manufacturing of electronic waste containing hazardous components.
In addition
to appliances and computers, SRI also handles PCB based ballast
and is a licensed consolidator/transporter of mercury vapor tubes
and lights.
Our technicians
are certified by the Department of Industry, Labor, and Human Relations
and the Environmental Protection Agency. Our equipment is certified
by the Department of Natural Resources as well as the EPA.
